The Youth use the money borrowed as capital for their livelihood projects, including petty business. Since Hakizetu is working with vulnerable group of youth who cannot access formal financial services like loans, the primary objective of table banking is to bring financial services to the vulnerable groups of youth in society, so that they can eradicate poverty and become financially stable. Increasing Value on Agricultural product (Agricultural Sector)
Agriculture is main part of Tanzania's economy. As of 2016 Tanzania has over 44 million hectares of arable land with only 33% of this amount being cultivated. More than 80% of the poor population lives in rural areas and almost all of them are involved in the farming sector. Land is a vital asset in ensuring food security and among the main food crops in Tanzania is maize, sorghum, millet, rice, wheat, beans, cassava, potatoes and banana. Also vegetable and some cash crops like coffee, cotton, tobacco, tea and cashew nuts.

Many who are involving on agriculture are youth.  Hakizetu is empowering small farmers (Youth) on adding values of agricultural product and market research. Hakizetu believes that good product start from early stage to final stage (to the final consumer). Hakizetu is empowering on to be certified organic. One may not use chemical fertilizers or any other sorts of chemical treatments: fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, etc.

In practice, this means that only “organically approved” sources of fertilizer or other pesticide treatments are allowed. Generally, the difference to human health and often in terms of environmental concern between conventional synthetic formulas and the “organic” alternatives is negligible if anything. In some cases, the organic alternatives are actually worse than the conventional. Also we encourage on growing crops which increase land fertility and changing the type of crops per season.
Hakizetu empowers farmers of best ways of growing and even package of agricultural product in adding value. The reason is to empower many youth to get profit which will make them to love agriculture instead on thinking is a punishment. We are embracing innovation and creativity in everything we do.
